Boston Logan International Airport

Boston Logan is the closest airport to Scituate (35 miles north). From the airport, you have several options to get to Scituate, including taxi, Uber, Lyft, commuter rail, and car rental.

Train

MBTA Commuter Rail

Begin at South Station (accessible from Boston Logan Airport via the Silver Line). There are 2 MBTA stops along the Greenbush line that will take you to Scituate. The North Scituate station is near shops, restaurants, and other historic sites. The Greenbush station is close to a brewery and the Old Oaken Bucket Homestead. They are nearly equidistant from Barker House, and both stops are connected to the GATRA bus (listed below), which offers local public transportation around the town of Scituate. Use the app mTicket to purchase tickets and view schedules.

GATRA

For those of you already in Scituate or arriving by commuter rail, the GATRA bus offers local transportation around the town. Stops include Greenbush MBTA, North Scituate Plaza, and Wheeler Park.

Train

AMTRAK

Amtrak can bring you in from Portland, Providence, New York City, Philadelphia, or Washington, D.C. For those coming from the south, set your destination to South Station. From there, you can take the commuter rail to Scituate. For those coming from the north, you'll arrive at North Station, walk or take the Boston T to South Station, and then take the commuter rail to Scituate.
