It's New Years of 2024. Susan downloaded Hinge, making it her New Years Resolution to meet more people and give dating a try. Susan got discouraged with how many weird guys she was matching with, until she stumbled upon this cute guy named Jackson with a lizard. She checks his location, recognizing the same small town her grandmother always talked about. On a whim she messages him, "What's your lizards name?" "Rocky!" He replied. Little did she know Jackson's New Years Resolution was the same as her own. The two stayed up late chatting and exchanging numbers. A week passed and they never stopped chatting about random things, finding out they were two sides of the same coin. Eventually, they made plans to go visit Raleigh's Natural Science Museum together. Their date lasted so long, the museum closed and they were asked to leave. Susan was the only girl Jackson met off of Hinge before he deleted it, shortly after Susan deleted the app too. Little did they know at the time that this would only be the beginning of their lives together.
