We’ve listed a few hotel options in the Travel section, but we highly recommend booking an Airbnb if you can. Many homes in the area have beautiful desert backyards that are perfect for stargazing, one of our favorite things to do when we visit Joshua Tree.
Our ceremony will begin at 2:30 PM and will take place outdoors in an unshaded area. Desert temperatures can be warm at this time of day, so please plan accordingly. We will be providing handheld fans and will do our best to keep the ceremony brief and comfortable for everyone. Following the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception will take place in a partially shaded area. Think rustic desert elegance and you’ll have the vibe just right!
Desert weather is known for big temperature swings throughout the day. Afternoons may reach the 80s–90s, while evenings can cool down into the 50s–60s. Since our wedding will take place outdoors, we recommend bringing a light layer for after sunset. We’ll be monitoring the forecast as the day approaches and encourage guests to do the same.
We’d happily dance under the desert stars all night, but the celebration will wrap up at 10:00 PM. :(
We’re fortunate to already have a home filled with the things we need, so we have not created a traditional registry. If you would like to celebrate with a gift, a contribution toward our future together would be greatly appreciated, but your presence is truly the most meaningful gift.
We love your littles, but for our very intimate setting, we have chosen to only have our wedding party littles attend. We can't wait to see your littles at a later date!
We highly recommend taking some time to explore Joshua Tree National Park, one of our favorite places in California. The desert landscapes are truly beautiful and make for an unforgettable drive or hike. Beyond the park, the surrounding towns offer plenty of great food and fun stops. Our personal favorite restaurant in the area is Sky High Pie, and we also love Mas o Menos, Kitchen in the Desert, and Pappy & Harriet’s. If you’re up for a little exploring, Pioneertown is a charming spot with western-style buildings perfect for photos, a small petting zoo, and the famous Crochet Museum. Palm Springs is also just a short drive away and home to one of our favorite attractions, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. If you plan to visit, be sure to bring a layer and comfortable walking shoes, as temperatures at the top are much cooler and the trails are great for exploring. We hope you enjoy discovering the desert as much as we do! 🌵
