Kurta

Men's Attire for Sangeet and Ceremony

An Indian kurta is a traditional garment typically worn in South Asia, especially in India. It is a long, loose-fitting shirt that usually reaches the knee. Kurtas can have long sleeves and often feature intricate embroidery, patterns, or embellishments. They are made from various fabrics such as cotton, silk, or linen, providing comfort and versatility. We recommend getting straight leg pants with your kurta set. Lehenga

Women's Attire for Sangeet and/or Ceremony

A lehenga is a traditional Indian outfit commonly worn by women on special occasions such as weddings, festivals, and other celebrations. It consists of three pieces: Lehenga Skirt: A long, flared skirt that can be heavily embroidered, embellished, or adorned with intricate patterns. It may feature a range of colors and styles, including pleats and ruffles. Choli: A fitted blouse that pairs with the skirt. It can have various necklines and sleeve lengths and is often decorated to match the skirt. Dupatta: A long, decorative scarf or shawl that can be draped over the head or shoulders, adding elegance to the ensemble. Tips: When ordering, it may ask for a stitched or unstitched blouse. We recommend ordering a stitched blouse and sending in your measurements for convenience. Example from Etsy (same Lehenga I am wearing in the picture): https://www.etsy.com/listing/1312985127/designer-olive-green-georgette-lehenga?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=lehenga+for+women+wedding+attire&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&pro=1&frs=1&content_source=b028f0c9de9b0ffd2583a2d603a2d63d72ef99fb%253A1312985127&organic_search_click=1

Saree

Women's Attire for Ceremony

A saree is a traditional Indian garment worn by women, renowned for its elegance and versatility. It is a long piece of fabric, typically 5 to 9 yards in length, that is draped around the body in a specific style. The saree is wrapped around the waist with one end draped over the shoulder, creating a graceful and sophisticated appearance. Tips: Traditional sarees require manual wrapping with safety pins so we recommend pre-draped sarees for convenience. Even with the pre-draped saree, we recommend practicing wearing it before the wedding. There are resources online to learn how to do the wrapping! If this is too involved, a lehenga is easier to assemble and wear- so definitely feel free to wear one instead! Depending on where you order from, it may ask if you want an unstitched or a stitched blouse. We recommend ordering a stitched blouse for convenience- you will need to submit your measurements for it to be tailored to your body.
