We made a splash into each other's lives when we met at the pool. We taught level 2 swim lessons together at the Zion Benton high school. The pool was always bringing us together- swim lessons, inservice trainings, and lifeguarding. What started as coworkers, led to friends, and finally led to love. On October 11th, 2013 we started dating and have been falling in love more and more each day.

Mike planned a walk down memory lane. It started with a clue having me find what you use to hear a heartbeat (his stethoscope at his house). The next clue led to the Valparaiso University campus library where we spent late nights studying together. Next I was led to the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house where we both found brothers for life. After that it was to Mike's freshman dorm where I first visited him at VU. And finally it was to Ogden Gardens in Valpo. Mike was waiting in the gazebo where he got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him as his wife.
