Our First Date

The Great Conjunction

Stars & Sea Under a twilit sky where planets align, Jupiter and Saturn formed a celestial sign. A shooting star blazon, our wishes cast far, Guiding us onward, like a heavenly star. Dancing across mountains, deserts, and sand, Our story sings, while our hearts expand. In Sierra's peaks, to Sedona's stone, To the sea's warm rhythm, We find our home. -Ryan Our First Date On December 21, 2020, our first date - at Muir Beach, a notable astronomical event took place: The Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. This event garnered widespread attention due to its rarity and visual impact. We snuggled close by our crackling campfire, nibbling on smoked salmon and swaying gently to the music playing softly on the speaker. The serene ocean spread from just beyond our toasty toes to the ombre horizon like God's mirror - reflecting the heavenly bodies above. In this moment, as we awed and smiled at the expanse of beauty set before us, a magnificent meteor blazed a luminous golden path across the southern sky, for what felt like eternally captivating seconds, before bursting into a dozen smaller dazzling points of dripping golden light. The luminous trails faded as we gasped in wondrous gratitude of the light show mother nature was performing for us. Both the child and the mystic in us, playfully responded in a moment such as this by casting hopeful wishes upon such phenomenon. Of course we were going to take this opportunity to double-down on wishes! The universe's dazzling performance invited us to seek a blessing from the swirling stars above to connect to the swirling stars within us. And so it was. Cosmic Rapture. And thus we made a powerful collective wish to allow the deep, eternal love within both of us to fuse and flourish as one love–our love. The warm, inspiring, and tranquil embrace of that stellar sunset, the gentle hug of Muir Beach, the cosmic energy of the great conjunction, and the magic of that shooting star all combined to instill a sense of what we both wished would become the most magical and loving future together. To that, we say thank you, Sun; thank you, Muir Beach; thank you, magical shooting star; thank you hope for keeping love open and alive in our hearts. Little did we know we planted another seed that evening on Winter Solstice. Now we return to this magical beach in Marin on Spring Equinox, when all is awakening to bloom in order to share our sacred vows of love with one another and to continue the rest of our days together. We couldn't be us without you. Thank you for sharing this magical day with us, and for supporting us as individuals and a couple. We look forward to celebrating our marriage with you. Love always, Ryan & Summer
