We’re getting married!

Katie and Mason met through a mutual friend at the University of Hartford. However, it wasn’t until she saw him care for a friend in trouble the she knew there was something special there. As they walked through the heavy snow on their first date they got to know each other and sparks flew. It was also on this day that they watched the movie ‘The Emperors New Groove’ which has become an important anniversary tradition. Only a couple months later, it was clear how much they meant to each other and Katie asked Mason, “do you wanna be my boyfriend or what!?” Over the next several years Katie and Mason grew in love and appreciation for each other over the many adventures and challenges they shared including buying their first home and caring for their kitties, Rascal and Rowan. Then, on September 3rd, 2021 Mason took Katie apple picking at Rogers Orchard. In the middle of the beautiful apple orchard, he got down on one knee and asked Katie, “do you want to be my wife or what?” mirroring the question Katie had asked four years earlier. It was the easiest yes she had ever said!
