we're getting married!

It’s a tale as old as time…. Boy meets girl, girl friend zones boy… boy wins her over and five years later, they’re getting married! But in all seriousness, in betting terms, Nick and Tori were a long shot. Let’s set the scene, the year is 2020 (you’re all familiar with it, right?) and Tori is living in Boston with no plans to leave, and then that pesky COVID hit. Thinking it would just be a few weeks, she went home to her parents’ house on the Jersey Shore for some solitude during the time of chaos. Well those few weeks turned to a few years, and while she missed Boston, she realized New Jersey was truly her home. A year later when it was safe to go out, her lifelong friend Michael invited her out on occasion to join him and his friends at the bar… enter Nick. Unbeknownst to either of them, Michael (yes, the Best Man) had been friends with both of them for years, and they all grew up 15 minutes from one another. The trio began to hang out on a weekly basis, always starting at Captain’s Inn and occasionally ending at the McDonald’s Drive-Thru in Atlantic City. It was the summer of 2022 when Tori and Nick began to make plans on their own as “just friends,” which evolved to spending every day together and quickly realizing it was something more, something special. Before long, Tori was commuting to NYC and rushing home to see Nick and spend whatever time able together. When it came time to move closer to the city, Tori knew she wanted Nick by her side and asked him to move in with her, in South Amboy, a town that holds a special place in Tori’s family, where they have established their own home and already created loving memories with friends and family. As they look to the start of the next chapter of their lives, they are so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by love from those that mean the most to them.
