Neither a zombie apocalypse nor Covid-19 is going to stop us from getting married! We have waited too long for this and are ready to go! However, we completely understand that health and safety are a big concern! Here are some things to consider and precautions we are taking: The ceremony and cocktail hour are outside. The dance floor for the reception, as well as the bars, are also outside. As of now, the dinner is inside the barn, however there are several doors that can remain open for air flow. If you feel more comfortable, tables can be places outside for dinner (weather permitting). Dinner is buffet style, however masked/gloved staff members will be serving the food. There are multiple hand sanitizer dispensers placed throughout the property and we encourage lots of use. All staff members will be wearing masks the whole time. Guests are welcome to wear masks if they choose, however we are not requiring guests to wear masks. If anyone has any other requests please contact us.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! If you are having trouble making arrangements for your kids, let us know and maybe we can help!
Yes! We will have a shuttle to take guests from the Hampton Inn to October Oaks at 3:45pm and then from October Oaks back to the Hampton Inn at 10:00pm. Depending on how many people decide to stay at Swiss Vacation Homes, we may decide to have a shuttle pickup and drop-off there, as well. We will keep you posted.
If you are a couple, we have addressed all invitations with both names. If your invitation only has your name, we would prefer if only you attended.
Semi-formal/cocktail please. We want our guests to be comfortable but it's still a wedding. Keep in mind that our ceremony is nestled in the trees and the grass may be soft so you might want to rethink the stilettos ladies!
