FAQs

The Wedding Website of DeAnn Brown and Bill Sevey
If you have any other questions, please reach out to the bride or groom.
Question

Is there cellphone service and/or wireless internet?

Answer

Cell service in the area is limited. At the property, Long Gulch, and Blackhawk Bar, Verizon or Inland Cellular customers are generally able to send/receive calls and texts (not group texts). Data is limited/slow. Wireless internet access will be restricted to the DJ and hosts.

Question

How do I get home if I've had too much to drink?

Answer

Please don't drive home if tipsy!! We have hired and paid for a shuttle driver that can drive people home from our event to several campgrounds, Gary's house, and Riggins. Please take the arrival shuttle, carpool, and/or plan to leave your vehicle behind if necessary. If you need a ride back in the morning, give us a call.

Question

Do I need to bring cash?

Answer

Food and beverages are complementary and provided all evening. If you want to provide a cash gift, tip the shuttle driver or DJ, or participate in the money dance, please do bring some cash. We will have a box for cards.

Question

Can I park at the property?

Answer

No. There is nearby parking with a short walking path. Please see the travel page for parking details. If you have mobility issues, there is limited on-site parking or drop-offs are okay.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Garden Party/Dressy. Ceremony and reception will be held on a mix of surfaces: grass, gravel, and concrete. Stiletto heels are not recommended. Chaco sandals are accepted since it is a river wedding after all.

Question

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All activities will happen outdoors on the lawn or in the garage. Please bring a jacket if the weather forecast is cooler. There will be large tents covering tables and dance floor and the property has a lot of shade trees.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Heck yes! We have hired a DJ and rented a dance floor. Bride and Groom are both dancers and the playlist will have plenty of country swing music. Please come ready to get your groove on.

Question

Can I camp at the property?

Answer

No. However, there are two nearby locations. Long Gulch is 0.7 miles north and Blackhawk Bar is 2.4 miles north, both on Highway 95. Long Gulch has a dual pit toilet. Blackhawk has a few firepits, but no toilet.

Question

Are we allowed to go inside the house?

Answer

We ask that no one enters the house unless you have a wedding related responsibility or an emergency need. Beverages, food, shelter, bathrooms, and handwashing will all be available outside the house.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Your kids are invited if your invite was addressed to "family" or included the names of your kids. The website RSVP function should include an appropriate number of guests to include your children when RSVPing. The property borders the Salmon River and on June 15th, the river will most likely be in medium flood stage. Please pay close attention to your little ones during the event and do not let them play in the water unattended. We don't suggest anyone play in the water, because depending on water level there is a short drop off in the lower yard that can surprise people.
