Scene 1 The setting is a mutual friend's graduation party at the Bohemian Biergarten in Boulder, CO. Lindsay is sitting across the table from Stuart. She finds out he is Canadian. Lindsay (excitedly): What are the provinces of Canada? Stuart (begrudgingly): New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec....... Lindsay (still excited): Wait! Let me try! Quiz me! Stuart (to himself): Who is this girl? Scene 2 The same mutual friend is having her birthday party at Maloney's Tavern in Denver. On one side of the room, Lindsay is dancing her little heart out. On the other side of the room, Stuart is talking to a friend, not dancing. Stuart (to his friend): See that blonde girl over there? She totally just gave me "the eyes". Scene 3 Three months later, Stuart and Lindsay are messaging back and forth. Lindsay is telling Stuart about the 'meatballs the size of your head' at Buca di Beppo and they talk about things they want to see in Italy. 02/06/2015 12:33PM Stuart: Before we go on this amazing trip to Italy, would you like to start by having dinner with me? (Doesn't have to be at Buca di Beppo) 8 EXCRUCIATING HOURS LATER... 02/06/2015 7:45PM Lindsay: Haha yeah! That'd be a good place to start Scene 4 It's June 17, 2017. Stuart plans a trip to Lake Isabelle - Lindsay's favourite hike. In the bottom of his bag, wrapped in a extra pair of socks is a small wooden box with a ring inside. The trail is still covered in 3 feet of snow. Lindsay postholes and lands face-first in a snowbank. Stuart briefly considers proposing in the parking lot. Despite the conditions, they make it to Lake Isabelle and find a secluded spot - the snow has kept almost everyone away. Stuart says his lines (that he's been silently reciting all week) and asks Lindsay to marry him. Lindsay responds with: You stinker! Stuart: Is that a yes? Lindsay: Of course! YES!
