Here are some options for places to stay that are more affordable than the resorts! We also recommend looking into air bnb as there are usually several options available near Kona or Hawi. The wedding venue is in Hawi. It’s about 30/45 minutes from Waikoloa and 60/90 minutes from Kona. So if you are wanting a place that isn’t too far from the venue keep that in mind!
For rental cars we suggest either renting from the airport or checking out Turo for more affordable options! Public transportation including Uber and taxi is pretty sparse here.

King’s Land is owned by the Hilton, but at much more affordable prices! It’s down in Waikoloa, which is the more resort/tourist area and is about 30 minutes from the venue. There are lots of beaches and restaurants nearby.
