Flight
For the wedding weekend, we recommend flying into Richmond International Airport (RIC) which is a 15-minute drive to downtown Richmond. Two other options are either Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) or Dulles International Airport (IAD) which are closer to the Washington, DC area. Please keep in mind both DC airports are a little over two hours from Richmond (time does not include I-95 corridor traffic). All of the local airports have rental cars available onsite.
Train
Do you live along the east coast? With living in DC, the interstate between Washington DC and Richmond is often heavy with traffic on the weekends. If you want an alternative option for transportation to Richmond, we recommend booking an Amtrak ticket. The Northeast Regional train has several trains a day running from Boston, MA along the east coast. The Northeast Regional train makes two stops in Richmond, VA, at Staples Mill and our wedding venue, Main Street Station. Tickets are affordable if you book them ahead of time.
