2:00 pm
We truly appreciate you flying in! We are so excited to spend time with you. Hawkesdene Estate and nearby accommodations are a couple hours from the closest safe airport, so we're coordinating complimentary transportation for arrivals and departures through Atlanta and Asheville. Want to spend a couple hours getting to know other wedding guests before the events begin? Give us your flight details! P.S. We're still coordinating rides for people coming in Friday or Saturday. :)
7:00 pm
Come one, come all! All guests are invited to gather together with food and drink to kick off our wedding weekend. Attire is casual, but first impressions are important. You never know who'll you'll run into...
12:00 pm
If you dare... please join the wedding party for a quick hike to the summit of the Hawk's Nest. It's fairly steep, so caffeine pills will be available in the main house as a source of motivation. As a reward, delicious food and drink will be available at the top, and technically you could roll your way down if needed. Attire: Super Casual AKA "Active Wear"
3:00 pm
Great time to show your "way too competitive" side and form life-long arch rivalries in pointless games.
7:00 pm
Regardless of whether you are in the wedding, please join the bride and groom to toast their last night before rings are exchanged. For all the single guests, this could be a great time to meet someone special before trying to impress them with sloppy dance moves. Attire: Smart casual; keep in mind we're in the mountains on a November evening.
9:30 pm
Let's get smoky! Can you think of anything better than s'mores around the fire on a mountain fall evening? Neither could we! Disclaimer: There's a high likelihood of embarrassing stories being told at this event.
11:00 am
Llamas need to be fed! They're fun, friendly, and always hungry! Between breakfast and when it's socially acceptable to be intoxicated, we'll be gathering around the Llama Barn to help give our furry friends a delicious brunch. Caution: You may get spit on. Attire: Comfortable casual
3:30 pm
The main event. There's really no excuse for missing this one. We'll try to keep the cheesy cliches to a minimum. Attire: Smart Casual. If there's a time to dress for success, it's now. This is your last chance to prove you have some sense of fashion. Some of you may be wondering what "Smart Casual" really means. Given that dressing appropriately, especially at such an event as a wedding, can be a daunting task, a thorough explanation has been provided within the FAQ section. Further questions can be directed toward "AskJeeves.com."
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Is this a 2 hour cocktail hour? Is that possible? Yes, yes it is. Don't worry, the tequila won't run out. Attire: You should probably just stick with the same clothes you were wearing at the ceremony. Wait until the reception (or after) to take anything off.
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Commonly referred to as the only reason anyone attends weddings, receptions are the ideal time to enjoy deliciously prepared food, enticing cocktails, and sumptuous cake. Speeches will be made, dances will be danced, and someone will be that guy. The end time says 11pm, but no one is waiting to kick us out so... Attire: Unless you plan on spilling food all over yourself, you're safe with your ceremony and cocktail hour clothes.
10:00 am
Help celebrate with the bride and groom one last time and send them off on their honeymoon! Food will be prepared saltier and greasier than normal. Advil will be available upon request. Attire: Honestly, as long as you're not naked, we'd love you to meet us for breakfast however you can make it.
