WHERE CAN I GET MY HAIR/ MAKE UP DONE FOR THE WEDDING?

Grand Hotel Tremezzo has a spa you can call in advance to schedule an appointment. They reopen on April 1, 2022 where you can contact the Spa manager to assist your requests. Blow- Dry- $85 Up-Do- $150 Make up: $150 Patty acconciature - Is a hair salon right next door to Grand Hotel Tremezzo. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR THE LAKE PARTY?

Answer

It is a beautiful venue on the Lake where people get married. Ladies can wear sundresses, Maxi dress (coverups), floral prints, etc. Men can wear linen button downs, shorts, polos, t shirts etc. **** Wear sandals it is on a beach **** You could bring your swimsuits if you would like to swim in the water!

COVID RESTRICTIONS?

Answer

As of June 1, 2022, you are no longer required to show a vaccination card, green pass, or recovery certificate to enter Italy!!!!!!! You need to schedule a test to go back to America ( check with your hotels, or local pharmacy- there is one near Grand Hotel Tremezzo to receive a rapid test ) You do not need to have a test to travel in Italy.

HOW DO I GET TO LAKE COMO FROM THE AIRPORT IN MILAN?

Answer

We will provide One Shuttle from the Airport to Lake Como on July 3, 2022 at 3:30pm. If you prefer travel by your own means, you can choose to travel by car (approx 90 mins) or go from the airport to the train station in Milan and take a train to the town of Como or Varenna. There will also be a morning shuttle on Friday 7/8/22 at 9:30 AM to take you back to the airport in Milan.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE IN LAKE COMO?

Answer

We're kicking the weekend off with a rehearsal dinner on Monday. However, if you prefer to arrive later or simply spend Monday exploring, please feel free to do so! We want you to spend the weekend however you wish and are just excited to have you at our wedding on Wednesday! Check out the SCHEDULE page for more details.

WHAT IS THE DRESS ATTIRE FOR THE WEDDING?

Dress For that Dolce Vita, James Bond style we are having a black tie affair. Wear floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses, tuxes or black suits. Wear shoes appropriate for grass, gravel, and that tricky Italian cobblestone.

IS PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE ON THE LAKE?

There are a variety of options for getting around the lake. There are public ferries that travel up and down the lake, as well as taxis on land (aim to schedule in advance). ***Make sure to look at the stops & bring a K or N 95 mask for public transportation*** See FAQ for more information on trains and ferries. All events will be Adult Only. If you choose to travel with children, you will be responsible for any and all childcare. Ashley and Steve can recommend local services for childcare if need be! We appreciate your understanding.

WHAT TRAVEL DOCUMENTS WILL I NEED?

A passport! Be sure to check the expiration date and renew ASAP if needed. ORDER AHEAD OF TIME THEY ARE DELAYED! *Please note that several countries, including Italy, require that your passport be valid at least six months beyond the dates of your trip.

WHAT IS VAT?

Answer

For all our shopping DIVAS. The Value Added Tax, or VAT, in the European Union is a general, broadly based consumption tax assessed on the value added to goods and services. It applies more or less to all goods and services that are bought and sold for use or consumption in the European Union. The tax is a whopping 22%! First, you cannot get a refund on the tax on accommodations or food in Italy, but you can obtain a partial refund on other purchases. Keep in mind that there's a minimum amount required in order to claim an IVA/VAT refund--currently in Italy the minimum purchase amount to submit a VAT refund is €154.94--all spent in one store at one time. You need to fill out this VAT refund and have it stamped usually prior to checking into the airport and then deposit it after you pass through security.
