Both are hosted at the same venue, Fort Osage Weddings and Christmas Trees! The ceremony will be held outdoors in the heat of the day and the reception will take place indoors. There are concrete trails to and from every space that you will be directed to, but the parking lot is loose gravel and there is a large wooden deck with space between the boards. Plan shoes choice accordingly :) There will also be a golf cart available for guests that need assistance getting from point A to point B. The address is 3022 N Twyman Road, Independence, Missouri 64058
Yes! Our venue has a partnership with the Drury Inn & Suites Independence Kansas City location! This location is about 20 minutes to the venue and 37 minutes from the Kansas City airport. The deadline to take advantage of the block is January 26th. Please make note of this when arranging travel.
We will not have a shuttle service available and there is not space for every guest to bring their own vehicle, so we ask that you carpool with others or use a rideshare service. We cannot have overnight parking at the venue so the cars that show up have to leave by 9:30 the evening of the 14th. Be smart and plan ahead.
Elevated cocktail attire is comparable to semi-formal. How we would describe elevated cocktail: dress to impress with comfort in mind. For men, a blazer, button up shirt, dress pants and a tie is preferred; any piece of your ensemble can correspond with the color palette. For women, any length dress or elegant pantsuit. The dress code advises flats or heels for women and loafers or oxfords for men. We would prefer that all guests avoid red, dark shades, neon shades, white, black, other light neutrals and loud patterns. Black suits are okay! Dress it up with a colored shirt and/or tie! I created a Pinterest board for style and color palette inspiration! https://pin.it/63yJ9flvO
All invited guests are listed on the tag in the invitation suite. Unfortunately, due to limited space at the perfect venue, we can only accommodate the guests noted on the attached tag. Children are welcome; however, we would like for you to take this evening as an opportunity for a night out, we encourage that you find childcare if you feel that you need a kid-free evening.
