Conner and Sam met at the 7th grade Halloween Dance, dressed as a rainbow-mohawk'd rocker and a nerdy witch. Throughout their 15 years of friendship, Sam has considered Conner's family her second family, and the two truly grew up together. Conner was Sam's courageous and zany friend throughout middle/high school and encouraged Sam to live boldly and take chances. They've performed in musicals together (including being Sweeney & the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd), spent most holidays together, played too many hours of Animal Crossing and Nancy Drew, and have gone on countless coffee dates and late-night dessert runs. They won Homecoming court together, Best Eyes 2011, and have stood by each others sides through thick and thin. Whether living down the street from each other or across the country, their friendship has always been strong, special and irreplaceable. Sam has dreamt of having Conner as her Man of Honor since high school, and words can't describe how special it is to have him stand by her side on her Wedding Day.💕

Wesley Williams

Best Man

Wesley and I have been best friends since first grade, and have had an incredible journey growing up together. From Sunday School, to participating in home-made videos as teens, to multiple cross-country roadtrips, we’ve shared so many great memories together. We have gone on countless adventures and he is one of my favorite people to do anything with. Wesley is one of the most intelligent, kind, and adventurous people I have ever met. His curiosity and thirst for knowledge never cease to amaze me. His wit and sense of humor always keep me on my toes, and I’ve always admired his courage and work ethic. It was an easy choice to have him as my best man. Wesley is not just my best friend; he’s one of my favorite people I’ve ever known.

Jennifer Carlson

Jen and Sam met Freshman year of college at Northern Arizona University. One day after 8am Music Theory, they decided to get breakfast at the buffet-style dining hall on campus named the Hot Spot (which they lovingly nicknamed the "Tot Spot"). It became a tradition for the rest of the semester, and turned into a beautiful friendship (and later, roommate-ship!). Jen is the first friend Sam made at NAU, and the two stood by each other through many exciting and challenging life events- the building of their careers, the loss of loved ones, 21st birthdays (and a LOT of dancing thereafter!), the adopting of fur babies, and everything else that comes with growing up. Jen is an absolute bundle of joy, goofiness, and love!

Michael Tyler

Michael and I have been good friends since high school. Regardless of whether we live in the same city or across the country, our friendship has always stayed strong. When I need a fresh perspective on a situation, Michael is one of the first friends I turn to for advice. He is fearless, stands up for what he believes in, and is never afraid to be his authentic self. It has been a joy to witness Michael and his wife, Paulina, grow together throughout their relationship, and I am grateful to have such a strong example of marriage in one of my dearest friends. I’m proud to have Michael by my side as I take this next step in my life.

Beth Rose Schindler

Beth Rose and Sam met in grad school at Shenandoah University. They grew closer while working together for a local church choir in Winchester and have been inseparable ever since! Beth Rose is one the kindest, goofiest, wittiest, and thoughtful people Sam has ever met. She was Sam's rock while living in the east coast, and built a strong bond with both Sam and Ryan. She has been there for a lot of big moments the last two years, including helping plan and execute Sam's proposal! Although they live on opposite sides of the country, the weekly update videos they send each other (Which are more like podcasts, each being 20-40 minutes!) make them feel closer than ever. They are two peas-in-a-pod & Sam couldn't imagine celebrating her wedding without her east coast bestie!💕

Andy Schipper

Andy I have known each other our entire lives. As cousins born just six months apart, we've shared countless adventures and memories throughout our lives. Some of my fondest memories from childhood are visiting him and his family in Michigan and spending numerous holidays and summers together. Since childhood, I have always admired his cleverness and fearless nature- He has never been one to back down from a challenge. What I respect most about Andy is his deep love for his family and friends. I’m proud of the person he’s become and the dedication he has shown in his career and life.

Amanda Johnson

Sam and Amanda met at Northern Arizona University. Amanda was lovingly been referred to as her "mini-me". Not only because they're kindred spirits, but also because they followed very similar paths in college, having both served as the President of NAU's musical theater club, and Amanda now teaching music/choir at the elementary school Sam once taught at. They share a love of music (a cappella, jazz, musical theater, alt/indie, Chappell Roan- you name it!), crafts, cats, and more! Amanda is a beautiful soul and is the perfect blend of empathetic and strong-willed. Sam is beyond grateful for their timeless friendship, and can't wait to celebrate with Amanda on her wedding day!💕

Sara Middleton

Sara and I met in college, and she has been a great friend to me since the beginning. Her down-to-earth but direct personality has always made me feel like I can be very honest with her without ever feeling judged. We have followed similar paths the last couple of years, with both of us moving to Virginia with our significant others. It was great having a piece of home nearby, and having Sara and her husband Lex involved in my proposal to Sam made it that much more special. I’m beyond grateful to have Sara as such a close friend, and it means the world to me to have her standing by my side for my wedding.
