It’s a classic, family-owned Italian diner atmosphere. Very family-friendly.
Eclectic and southern-inspired. It’s also a distillery but the restaurant is still family-friendly.
It’s in the heart of downtown and literally has everything you could need for entertainment. It’s a lunch and dinner spot, then at night turns into one of the best places to go for drinks. It also has bowling, bocce, karaoke rooms, darts, pool, and fuseball.
Trendy and “new American.” Their menu rotates, but includes things like octopus. It’s been nationally-recognized by travel magazines and put Indianapolis on the map as an emerging foodie city.
Also has been nationally-recognized by travel magazines and put Indianapolis on the map as an emerging foodie city. It’s a breakfast/brunch spot, but if you go later in the morning, expect a wait. We got there at 9:15 one Sunday and didn’t have to wait, but the line was out the door by the time we got our food. But seriously, the food would have been worth the wait if we did have to wait. This is also the restaurant where we started our day on October 6, 2018 -- the day Cory proposed!!
Good for fairly-priced quick Mexican food, family-friendly. Good patio! Plenty of parking.
Great gourmet tacos and margaritas. Also turns into a hot spot at night. Just about any place on Massachusetts Avenue is GREAT.
A former church-turned-brewery. Sunday brunches here are amazing but their daily menu is great as well. This is a favorite spot of ours! It's also the place that Cory had our families waiting for us after he proposed!
Family-friendly German beer hall. Indoor and outdoor seating and often has live entertainment on weekends.
A percentage of their profits benefit animal rescues and organizations. They allow all well-behaved animals inside, so you may see a llama but it’s mostly dogs. :) Dixon is a regular, and even though he isn't always the best-behaved, we still love our Metazoa trips!
No food here. They make their own spirits and their cocktails are wonderful. They also have a good patio. There’s a popcorn machine for anyone who needs a snack.
Brewery and restaurant on the corner of the Cultural Trail! Their house brews are really great!
This one is in the Wholesale District and it’s Indiana’s favorite sports bar. The first Kilroy’s opened in Bloomington, IN, home to Indiana University. GET THE BREADSTICKS!
One of our favorite dive bars. This place also has some of the best pizza around. Don't get it to go, sit inside and take in the greatness that is an Indianapolis dive!
This place and Sam's (see other listing) are our favorite Indianapolis dive bars.
Good spot to stop after the ceremony for a nice glass of wine!
