Question

In light of COVID-19, what's happening with the wedding?

Answer

As you noticed, we didn't get married on April 25. To keep everyone safe and to try to maximize the possibility of as many people being able to attend the wedding as possible, we postponed the wedding to August 28, 2020. We know not everything will be back to "normal" then; we made the best decision we could with the information we had at the time. At our wedding in August, we will provide hand sanitizer and masks; you're not required to wear a mask, but if you'd be more comfortable wearing one, they'll be there for you. Also, the church is extremely large, so feel free to spread out and sit six feet apart from people who are not in your party. If that's your plan, we recommend sitting in the wings or toward the back of the church.

Question

If I RSVPed for your original wedding date, do I need to RSVP again?

Answer

YES PLEASE! All RSVPs were cleared on the website when we changed our wedding date. Everyone needs to fill out the RSVP tab completely by July 24, 2020!

Question

What does a Catholic ceremony entail?

Answer

If you've never been to a Catholic church or ceremony, welcome! All in all, you won't see much of a difference in this wedding ceremony. There will be a big white dress, tears from mom, a couple of readings and some music. What may be a little different is that there will be some moving around: sitting and standing a few different times. Do whatever is most comfortable for you! Also, there will be a few times the congregation will respond to the priest or join in a prayer out loud. If you know these responses and prayers, join on in! It is not a full Mass, so there will be no Communion. It will be longer than most ceremonies- a little under an hour. So plan accordingly! Maybe eat a small snack ahead of time. Also, the church can get kind of chilly so a jacket or sweater would be good to bring with you!

Question

Is there parking at the ceremony? The reception?

Answer

Yes to both, but since everything is downtown Indianapolis, please allow at least 15 extra minutes to get parked and inside anywhere. Here are some of your parking options for the ceremony: Street Parking: You can download the ParkIndy app and park in any of the metered spaces along the street. This will probably be your cheapest option since you pay by the hour, and it will likely be under $3 for the entirety of the ceremony. http://www.parkindy.net/ Circle Centre Mall World of Wonders Garage: 100 South Illinois Street is also a cheap option. For up to three hours it's only $3. http://circlecentermall.com/ci... Pan Am Plaza Garage: 201 South Capitol https://www.downtownindy.org/p... And for the reception: There will be a parking attendant at the reception directing you to free parking in the adjacent lots. You can also use Uber or Lyft to get to either location.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail or semi-formal, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let loose on the dance floor!

Question

Is anything outdoors? Is everything accessible?

Answer

Everything will be inside and there will be accessible ramps and doors at each venue. If you need a listening device at the church for the ceremony, please ask an usher.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Come out and have a good time with us!

Question

Is there transportation?

Answer

Since many friends and family are from the area, we trust everyone's ability to get around! Indianapolis is a very easy city to navigate. Ask one of the other guests if you need help getting from the ceremony to the reception, and our recommended accommodations, restaurants, church and reception are all within the "mile square" to make it incredibly easy for you to get here!
