Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) is about 20 miles from Sandestin. It’s served by Allegiant, American, Delta, Southwest, & United Airlines and offers rental cars, Uber and Lyft. Panama City Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is 50 miles from Destin and is served by American, Delta, Southwest & United Airlines. Uber, Lyft and rental cars Pensacola International Airport (PNS) is about 55 miles from Destin and is served by Southwest, American and Delta Airlines. It offers rental cars and is serviced by Uber and Lyft. Shuttles to and from Sandestin are available; local shuttles services include Sandollar Transportation, Black Taxi Destin and Sunshine Shuttle.

Sandestin is a 2400-acre property with a variety of lodging that can be booked directly with the resort or through VRBO/Airbnb. The Marina where the cruise that we will be married on is docked within the resort but is also accessible to non-guests. We will be staying in the resort because of the proximity to the dock and to activities offered within the resort. If you plan to stay within the resort, please read below: The dock is within walking distance from the Grand Complex (Bahia, Elation, Grand Sandestin and Lasata buildings) and Observation Points North and South. All of these buildings offer condos, from studios to 3-bedroom spaces. Also closely are Fisherman's Village (loft-style condos), The Village (luxury condos), Le Jardin (3-story townhomes with private balconies) and Hotel Effie. If you prefer a more serene locale or want lakefront or beachfront property, you can find it in the resort. There is also a Hilton in the resort. *A free tram service operates throughout the resort for those with an an official resort card, which some Airbnbs and VRBOs do not include; it will be worth confirming that your rental includes this if you plan to travel throughout the resort. You can’t pay for the tram separately. Please also confirm that you have a parking space, if booking through an outside vendor. If you would like to stay elsewhere, there are plenty of options! Destin is 20 minutes away, Rosemary Beach is 30 minutes away and Fort Walton Beach is 40 minutes away, and there are countless options in the greater area.
