Great question! Even though the state of Texas is allowed to operate at 100% capacity, we are fortunate that both of our venues are still operating at 50%. Masks are still required at our church, and every other pew will be left empty in an attempt to best social distance. Masks are also required at the reception when you are not in the actual reception room (i.e. going to the bathroom) and when you are interacting with the venue staff (i.e. getting food or ordering a drink at the bar). Hand sanitizer will also be provided at the reception. By June, all adults in Texas, as well as most states, will be eligible for the vaccine. We HIGHLY encourage you to consider getting at least one dose of the vaccine before the wedding.
We love your kids! But we would love for this to be your night off! With the exception of family and children in the ceremony, we'd love it if this event was adults only! If you are really strapped, please contact the bride and groom. We'd be happy to accommodate you the best we can!
If your invitation says "and guest", then please do! If it does not, then we'd rather celebrate our day with just you! Our venue does not have the capacity to hold more than invited. So while we'd love to meet your person, we want to give them our undivided attention in their own time and celebrate our day with those closest to us.
Dress to impress. Breakout your semi-formal/cocktail attire. Look amazing. Hopefully, our special day is an excuse to get all dressed up! We want you to be comfortable though, so if those high heels are uncomfortable or that top button too tight, feel free to let it all hang loose! Suggestions for Ladies: Dresses, formal pantsuits, etc. Suggestions for Men: Suit and tie, Sports coat with dress pants, etc.
Yes! We are getting married in the Catholic church! However, we are not having a full mass. Catholic weddings typically involve longer ceremonies, but we have shortened the ceremony to be about 30-45 minutes given the evening start time. We understand that we have a later start time, so we want to be as accommodating as possible.
We suggest between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm for a 7:00 start time
The addresses for the church and the reception are under our Events tab on our website, as well as will be provided in the welcome baskets in your hotel room.
It is really important to us that you are completely present with us during our special day! While we love that you want to capture moments with us, we please ask that during the ceremony, you keep your cell phones off and put away. I promise our photographer will be capturing the moment for everyone. However, during the reception, feel free to post on social media and take pictures! Please feel free to use our wedding hashtag at #rightupdansallie
We are registered on Zola.com, Target, and Bed Bath and Beyond! See the registry tab for all our registry information!
June in Texas is HOT! Luckily, both our ceremony and our reception are inside, and in the evening! Please be sure to pack breezy clothes for the day!
Absolutely! If you know for a fact that you are able to make it or not, we'd love to hear from you as soon as possible! RSVPs are available through the mail with your invitations, or under the RSVP tab of our website!
Please send back RSVP cards or RSVP online through our website by May 15, 2021. If you are having trouble RSVPing, please contact Allie, Dan, mother of the bride (Madelyn), or mother of the groom (Valerie).
Yes! If you have any dietary restrictions please let us know ahead of time and we'd be more than happy to accommodate you!
We will provide many options for transportation! There will be car rental information in the travel section of our website. There will be free parking at the church, and there will be valet parking at the reception. We will also be providing Uber discount codes that you are free to use throughout the weekend. There is a Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) station near the reception venue and the rehearsal dinner venue if you are interested. The DART is a GREAT budget-friendly way to get around downtown if you are interested in exploring before the wedding. We will provide a DART map and schedule for you in your hotel room!
Duh.
You are welcome to ask the bride and groom personally, as well as the parents of the bride and groom, the best man and the maid of honor! We also have a wedding email, rightupdansallie@gmail.com! We will respond to you as soon as possible!
