Our dress code for the wedding is funky formal—think classic formalwear with a fun, personal twist! Men should wear suits with a tie, bow tie, or bolo, and women can wear long formal dresses, jumpsuits, or suits. Feel free to have fun with bold colors, unique accessories, or statement pieces that show off your personality. Here's some inspiration: https://pin.it/4l7kY84fq Since the ceremony will be outdoors on a grassy hill, we also recommend comfy shoes and dressing for DC’s unpredictable fall weather!
It’s Halloween and it's 99% of the reason we chose our wedding date so we’re going all in—costumes are required! Get creative, go spooky, be glamorous, or dress as your favorite character—just have fun with it! No formalwear needed, just your best Halloween look. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Alexandria is just across the river from Washington, DC, making it super easy to get between the two! It’s about 15 minutes by car, 20 minutes by Metro, or a scenic water taxi ride away. Whether you’re staying in DC or Alexandria, you’ll have quick and convenient access to all the wedding festivities!
Due to venue capacity and planning, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out to us.
Formal invitations will be mailed out at a later date. The invitations will include instructions regarding RSVPing.
Parking is available at the wedding venue. Additionally, we will be offering transportation from the wedding reception to the afterparty. Fortunately, the welcome party, wedding venue, and afterparty are all in well-populated Uber or Lyft pickup zones.
Please contact our lovely wedding planner, Gretchen, or one of the bride’s sisters.
