FAQs

We'll add more details as they're confirmed. Feel free to text Lindsay or Steven with any questions until then.
Question

What type of event can I expect?

Answer

The vibe is relaxed BBQ. We want to enjoy a beautiful evening on the Yellowstone River (or Elk River, as the Crow or Apsaalooke call it) with you. Appetizers and a self-serve bar will be served in the garage. You can grab a drink before the ceremony. Dinner tables are under a tent in case of rain. We'll sit on wooden benches for the ceremony and move the benches under the tent for dinner. After the ceremony you can enjoy the bar, play corn hole, dance or just hang out and chat with the other guests. Dancing will be on the lawn. We'll provide as many adirondack chairs as we can to make a comfortable space to hang out. Bring a chair if you can :) We'll be on the river, so if the water is low enough for your comfort, you can swim, fish, or dip your toes in.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Only you can answer that question We want you to be very comfortable and come as you are. We recommend casual wedding attire. Relaxed and neat. No need to wear a suit and tie. It will be warm, and we’ll be on the river, under shade trees, on the lawn and a rocky gravel bar. Sandals, sun dresses, sun or cowboy hats are all welcome.

Question

What should I know about bringing kiddos to the wedding?

Answer

18 kids are coming to the wedding :) All children will be invited to walk down the aisle first in a "kid parade" to kick off the ceremony. We'll provide streamers and whirligigs to make the parade festive. We'll plan a kids activity table, and you're welcome to bring any outdoor games or crafts to keep children entertained so that everyone has a great time. There is one menu for the event that will be posted on the "Schedule" page. We will not be offended if you bring any additional snacks or food for children.

Question

How can I help?

Answer

Bring lawn or camp chairs for a comfortable place to sit after dinner. If you can lend us a yard game, please let us know.
