Leana and Steve’s love story began the modern way: on Bumble, during their senior year of college. Their first date was at Antonio’s, where Leana greeted Steve with a handshake (yes, a handshake), a moment he still lovingly makes fun of to this day. Despite a great first date, Leana wasn’t totally sold — Steve seemed too nice. Thankfully, with a little push from her friends Jason and Ellie, she agreed to a second date… and spoiler alert: that decision worked out pretty well. Not long after, long distance became part of their story. For nearly four years, they mastered the art of weekend road trips, driving two hours just to spend time together. Along the way, they squeezed in adventures to Nashville, Boston, Punta Cana, the Cape, Matunuck, and San Diego — proving that distance is no match for good company and plane tickets. PA school brought late nights, stress, tears, studying, and lots of practice (Steve was a very patient OSCE volunteer). Through it all, Steve was always there — to listen, support, and occasionally be poked and prodded for educational purposes. Steve even moved to Quincy, MA to be closer to Leana while she was in PA school after landing a job in Boston — only to move right back to Western Massachusetts a year later when Leana accepted her dream dermatology job. Then came the ultimate surprise. Just one month after Leana accepted her new job, Steve teamed up with Leana’s maids of honor, Miranda and Jazmyn, to plan the proposal of a lifetime. On October 19, 2024, at Hardings beach in Chatham, MA, Leana said “YES!” Now, they’re inseparable — tackling everyday life, planning a wedding, and getting ready to celebrate forever together. They can’t wait to share this next chapter with all of you!
