It all started in 2019. Kara made the brave decision to move out of her parents place for a year to see what it was like to be on her own so she got an apartment in Troy, MI. One night in January 2019 Kara and her friends made a Tinder profile so Kara could enter the dating scene in the new city. In 2019 Steven was living in Shelby Twp., MI with his family but working as an intern at the University of Detroit Mercy and made a decision to create a profile on the dating app while talking to some friends and co-workers who had luck using it in the past. Within one week Kara and Steven "Swiped Right" on each others profile and ended up being matched on Tinder! Kara and Steven decided to get to know each other through text messages for a week and quickly realized their personalities were very similar and became fast friends. On February 3rd, 2019 Kara made the decision to ask Steven to hangout in person for the first time and he agreed. What Kara didn't know was February 3rd was also the day of the Super Bowl and Steven loves sports so it was shocking he agreed to skip the game and spend time with Kara. Five years later they are still together, so I think he made the right choice! They have grown together, laughed together, created an unbreakable friendship, and a beautiful bond that will only continue to strengthen. Thank you for being a part of their special day!
