Siena is a beautiful city with lots of stunning views. Our personal recommendations would be to: Drive into Siena and park at Viale della Vecchia. From there you are within 10-20 minute walking distance of: ⁃ Basilica Cateriniana di San Domenico and Fontebranda ⁃ Siena Cathedral ⁃ Piazza del Campo ⁃ Pallazo Pubblico
Florence is a lot bigger than Siena and its attractions are definitely more spaced out. We drove to the outskirts and got a tram into the centre to avoid paying for any parking. Whilst in the city we enjoyed visiting: ⁃ Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore ⁃ Ponte Vecchio ⁃ Vivoli for affogato ⁃ Wine windows ⁃ Piazza di Santa Croce ⁃ Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella ⁃ Pizzeria e Trattoria Lo Sprone
A lovely little town with a beautiful view of the countryside. It’s a sleepy town so any shops, cafes and restaurants are likely to be closed between 2-6.
There is a beautiful waterfall and swimming area only a 10/15 minute walk from the nearest car park called SentierElsa. We had a lovely morning coffee and croissant at Pasticceria Garibaldi in the town centre and then drove 6 minutes to the car park for the waterfall walk. We also got some cakes to go from Pasticceria Lorena and would happily recommend both places.
