The beginning of a life long journey in Rome

Steven and I got engaged in the Orange Gardens in Rome, Italy on October 14, 2024. I, Becca, was the most surprised I have ever been in my life! This was a Celestina family trip, and apparently Steven had been trying to get me alone each morning for a short walk around the city for cappuccinos and cornettoes (and had a special additional plan in mind). But, each morning, I refused to wake up early due to exhaustion from grad school and travel. On the early morning of October 14, Steven's family and I walked from our Airbnb to the Orange Gardens. Steven pretended to take pictures with me at sunrise there, with the city of Rome in the background (one of the reasons people love the Orange Gardens is for the beautiful view of the city). Then he popped the question! I am very thankful his family happened to be there for this, because Brianna (Steven's sister) had taken some gorgeous pictures that turned out to be our engagement pictures! We will never forget that day, or that location, and because of that- we are returning to beautiful Roma for our wedding. We have now all been there multiple times! Rome holds a special place in our hearts (huge thanks to Brianna) and we can't wait to share it with all of you!
