We think we met in psychology class? But we change the story frequently because neither of us really knows (romantic, I'm aware). We found out each other had a liking for music. Being polite, I tried to relate to him on some of the music he liked. Of course when he burned me a CD, it was scary and nothing that I would have ever listened to. I still have it in my car. We then started playing guitar together, played for a talent show (Better Man by Pearl Jam) and won hats! Later we really bonded when we went to SEEK (a retreat) in Nashville 2015. You should read the letters we wrote to each other! Super cute. Since then, we've been best buddies. Then we became a little more than buddies.

As friends, sometimes you have to reestablish that you're just friends! We did that a couple times. Then we decided we no longer wanted to be friends. We wanted to be BEST friends. Like, BEST BEST friends. Aka we started dating. We went on one date and made things official, since there wasn't much "getting to know each other" considering our past. Never have I ever been more nervous for a date! What on earth were we supposed to talk about?! We already knew everything about each other! Obviously.....things went well.

He took me to one of the first places we have a fond memory of just the two of us and asked me to marry him. For a longer story, he took me out to the desert and lead me to a fire with nobody around it (uh, scary!). As my adrenaline began to release because I was certain this was a set up (not the good kind), I saw the look in his eye and was like, "Oh.....Oh! That's what this is!" Adrenaline continued, but for different reasons. He got down on one knee, and my best friend in the whole world asked me to marry him. Dream come true! Of course I agreed to it. Suddenly, my sister with a camera and Anthony and Zach with a bottle of champagne jumped out from behind dead tree trunks. I'm telling ya, it was romantic as heck and I'd have had it no other way. So excited to love him more and more every day.
