What started as a simple exchange on Bumble soon led to something much more. Our first messages were light and fun — chatting about favorite foods, travel adventures, and the random things we’d posted on our profiles. Then Steven sent the message that started it all: "Are you a fan of art? There’s a Lego art exhibit in San Francisco this weekend I’ve been wanting to check out. Would you want to come with me? Maybe dinner after?" Caitlin said yes (of course)! We met at the Lego exhibit, and from the moment we started exploring together, the conversation flowed effortlessly. Afterward, we went to The View Lounge across the street for a glass of wine and appetizers, continuing to talk and laugh late into the evening. It went so well that we met up again the very next day for our second date. And from there, the (Lego) pieces just kept falling perfectly into place 💛
Steven is known for planning mystery dates — my only rule is that he tells me what to wear! So when he told me to save March 15th for another mystery date, I didn’t think much of it. I didn’t expect anything big; he’d told me he “didn’t even have the ring yet.” We drove to Napa and arrived at the stunning Castello di Amorosa. After our tour and tasting, an employee announced that we’d “won” a daily raffle to visit one of the castle towers. Suspicious? Maybe. Cute? Definitely. As we climbed the stairs, I started feeling excited-nervous. At the top, I turned left just like they instructed — and saw rose petals leading to to a table with champagne and roses. When I turned back to Steven, he was already on one knee with the ring. I said yes! Then, six of our closest friends and a photographer appeared to celebrate with us. It was pure magic and one of our favorite memories yet.
