1. Never Say ‘No’ To A Beer: If offered a beer in North Dakota, you must drink it, even if it is an Old Milwaukee. They love their beer there; if you don’t drink it, they will think you’re a snob. 2. Do Not Be Shocked By The Jars On The Bar Tops: Yes, those are real pickled pigs feet. While these may be fading in popularity, try not to stare when you first see the 93-year-old farmer in denim cover-alls at the end of the bar drinking Clamato juice mixed with cheap beer while eating a pickled pig's foot with his mouth open. If he belches, that just means that he likes you. Almost like saying 'hello' 3. Do Not, I Repeat, Do Not Try To Pet The 2,000 Lbs. Buffalo!! This one is particularly important to Californians for some reason. This should go without saying, but nonetheless every year there seems to be one less Buffalo Petting Californian going back to the West Coast because they saw a big fluffy slow-moving cuddly buffalo and wanted to pet it like a poodle.
