Steve and Elizabeth first met online in the summer of 2022, bonding over their shared love of cooking and discovering they were both vegetarians. Steve soon invited Elizabeth to one of his favorite restaurants, Galaxy Hut, and with that, their adventures began. They experienced everything from floods to moving in together in 2023, and even traveling abroad. By late 2024, they began talking about their future together and were both excited to take the next step toward engagement and marriage. At the time, Elizabeth was focused on completing her National Board teaching certification, which required a lot of her attention, but Steve was there to support her every step of the way. Elizabeth had requested that no engagement take place until she submitted her paperwork, which was due on May 17th. To celebrate, she had planned a relaxing morning with a manicure and coffee. However, Steve had something else in mind. Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, he had secretly coordinated with his friends to organize a surprise proposal at one of her favorite spots, the Botanical Gardens. Everything was set, and on the big day, Steve proposed in the stunning Orchid Room. His friends were there to capture the moment and celebrate with them afterward.
