We're getting married!

We both swiped right! Marissa thought it would be funny to send a gif of a potato pooping fries to Jimmy as a “unique” ice breaker. Jimmy was wowed by her humor and asked her on a date to play darts at a bar. The date continued with a mini hike where Marissa met Ava for the first time when she was only 5 months old. They ended the date with a trip to Olive Garden where Jimmy realized Marissa can eat her weight in endless breadsticks. When the bill came Marissa asked Jimmy what she owed him and he said “how about a second date?” And the rest is history!

After dating for about a month and a half, Marissa was having her family come down for a cruise. Marissa's dad called her and said, "We want to meet the man that has been making our daughter smile recently. Invite him to dinner." Her immediate response was, "Dad I don't know if he likes me like that! I'm not going to invite him to dinner with my PARENTS when we aren't even officially together! That's going to scare him away!" To that, Mom and Dad said, "Well if we don't meet him when we come down then we will never want to meet." An ultimatum - how cute, right? So Marissa texted Jimmy trying to make it as casual as possible saying, "Hey so my parents are coming down before the cruise if you want a free meal you can join us." Which to that he responded, "You want me to meet your parents?!" Then said, "I think we need to talk about us." In whirlwind of emotions, Marissa messages her mom saying it's all her fault and that Jimmy was going to say he didn't want to see her anymore because she was CRAZY TO INVITE HIM TO MEET HER PARENTS WHEN THEY NEVER TALKED ABOUT WHAT THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS!!! Fast forward to a couple hours later and Jimmy tells Marissa to meet him downstairs of her apartment complex. She hops in his car and he goes on to say how he thinks they are moving too fast. Marissa immediately goes, "No same I didn't even want to invite you my mom told me to so its fine if you think I'm crazy we don't have to see each other anymore." Jimmy then laughs, pulls out a bouquet of flowers, and says, "Marissa, I'm just kidding - I didn't want to meet your parents unless you were officially my girlfriend." And since that day Jimmy has been keeping Marissa on her toes.

Marissa was in Atlanta for a job interview, and Jimmy took the opportunity to decorate our rooftop with rose petals, roses, champagne, and candles. When Marissa called Jimmy to tell him she was offered the position, he said “perfect we will celebrate when you come home!” When Marissa landed, Jimmy told her to close her eyes as he led us upstairs to the proposal site. When she opened her eyes, Jimmy said “Congratulations!” Then asked her to go smell the roses he set out. As Marissa is occupied, Jimmy gets down on one knee and says “Baby, will you marry me?”Marissa turns around and screams “WHAT THE F-! Are you f-ing kidding?!” After the shock of the perfect surprise passed, the couple celebrated with popping a bottle of sparkling wine and calling their close friends and family. Legend has it, Marissa still doesn’t believe it and is still asking if Jimmy is kidding.
