Phoenix Sky Harbor International

We recommend flying into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for the smoothest travel experience. While Flagstaff Pulliam Airport is technically closer, flights there tend to be more expensive, and winter weather can cause delays, reroutes or cancellation due to snow. Additionally rental car availability in Flagstaff is limited and unreliable.

Sedona is a place best explored on your own terms, and most guests love having the freedom to take in the sights at their own pace. We highly recommend renting a car so you can fully enjoy the area, from sunrise hikes to starlit drives through the canyons. 💡 Important to Know: 🚕 Public transportation is extremely limited. 🚗 Uber, Lyft, and taxis can be hard to find, especially in the evenings. 🌄 Having your own car will give you more flexibility to explore and move around stress-free. If you prefer to sit back and enjoy the ride, we’re happy to arrange airport transportation for you! Just let us know in advance, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Where to Stay: Your Sedona Retreat

PLEASE STAY on the "west side" of Sedona, left of the Whole Foods landmark. The traffic at this time of year makes it undesirable to stay in the "Village of Oak Creek" near Bell Rock or Chapel of the Holy Cross. (You can wait up to an hour* in traffic this time of year to get to west Sedona from the village of oak creek.) Sedona offers everything from luxury resorts to hidden-gem vacation rentals - whether you're looking for spa indulgence, red rock views or a cozy desert escape.
