Great place to go for late night crowd. Very similar to good old Sharkeys Newport Beach! Lol fun spot for sure … watch out for the blue hurricanes… they got us last time ;)
Jonny Tamarindo
My favorite beach bar! All ages. Have drinks and food while sitting on beachside tables to watch the best sunset. Once the sun goes down the fire dancers put on a show!

Diamante Eco Adventure Park
Apparently your Superman on this zipline. No thanks! Stephen’s been trying to get me to go do this, but Im a little chicken! Stephen recommends to go here, and is not too far from Flamingo area for a day trip to the adventure park and zoo!
La Fortuna Waterfall
Hike down to the best waterfall in the middle of the jungle! Lots of howler monkeys and we had the entire walk to ourselves. Be prepared for lots of stairs! So worth it!
Baldi Hot Springs Resort Hotel & Spa
This is where we stayed when up in this region. We loved it! It was like a Disneyland for adults with all the different hot springs they had!
Místico Arenal Hanging Bridges
This is a fun adventure to hike, sight see, and walk through the jungle! Lots of hanging bridges that can be a little scary if your scared of heights. Time to conquer those fears! Highly recommend this!

Beach Massage - Playa Flamingo
You will see some vendors along the beach that you can bargain a price for a beach massage. I believe Stephen & I got our couples massages for $40 bucks total. They then have you ride with them to a secluded high end residential area at the far end of the beach and have massage huts set up. It was an unbelievable experience to be beachside for our massages! Highly recommend booking this!
Learn to surf in Tamarindo
We stayed at the Diria Resort in Tamarindo on our last trip, they have a super chill surf instructor along the beach to rent boards from or five personal lessons. I got my own lesson near Playa Grande, but then rented my own board in Tamarindo to use the new skills I learned to teach myself! The waves are small enough to learn on, and I felt safe in that area. I got up a few times myself and rode the wave! I believe the surf board rental was $10 for all day use. Stephen and I traded turns to use it so someone was on the beach watching our stuff
