A trusted company we personally use to get around is ECOTRANS. You’ll want to reserve this prior to your flight so you can arrange for them to be there at the airport when you get in. Whoever your driver is, you can request to use him again for any future traveling and book ahead if you know you are going somewhere. They are extremely reliable. If you say 7am, they will be outside waiting at 655am. We use them for all airport shuttle , to and from Flamingo & Tamarindo ( about 20 min drive) and use them from Flamingo to La Fortuna ( about a 4 hour drive to the jungle) The vans are spacious and hold up to 6 people comfortably and air conditioned also. ( extremely important here! ) They will load your luggage in and out of shuttle for you. www.ecotranscostarica.com 954-353-6737 / US Info@ecotranscostarica.com
The welcome party will be hosted Thursday Nov 3rd at BOA brewery ( owned by the famous Aleks Thompson, Stephen’s cousin! ) The party will be from 7pm to 10pm. We will have a few shuttles going back and forth from hotel to brewery so if your flight doesn’t get in until later , get checked in at the hotel, change and hop on the next shuttle! The brewery is about 10 min away from the hotel which makes it easy. We will be offering snacks, some appetizers and drinks along with live music and fun times! Can’t wait to see everyone when we all get in!
Well, Costa Rica is very casual. Technically it’s an older surf town, so don’t need more than sandals, a T-shirt and shorts! There is a lot of fun little beach bars in Tamarindo that are very casual. Really no need to dress up, it’s hot out …Costa Rica sounds more glamorous than it really is. LOL .
Semi Formal beach wedding attire! The actual wedding will be on the sand, and my wedding party will be barefoot ( girls at least). I encourage all guests to take your shoes off and relax during the ceremony! The reception will be on grass, so ladies please don’t wear heels or you will be stuck in the grass and face plant LOL Fair warning to all :). More details on attire to follow soon so make sure to check back for any updates!
Absolutely not! That’s just where we will be staying and encourage due to the wedding festivities in this area. There are not many hotels in this region. Playa Flamingo is a quiet town. The beach pretty much shuts down at 10pm. If you are looking for more of a nightlife scene, We recommend you stay in Tamarindo ( a 25 min drive from Flamingo) it should be easy to schedule the shuttle van to this area as to going back and forth for the wedding festivities. I do encourage all our wedding party to stay at Margaritaville since you will be needed each day from the bride and groom. Stephen and I will probably plan a night out in Tamarindo our last night there for whoever wants to go out that night. We’ll keep you posted :)

No. You do not have to be vaccinated against COVID-19 for Costa Rica. Costa Rica is not requiring tourists to be vaccinated against COVID. Fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated and unvaccinated people can enter Costa Rica. You don’t need to have your booster shot to enter Costa Rica.
***UPDATE*** I will follow up with the hotel on this now that the covid test order is now rescinded Unfortunately, yes there is 😣. Not what we wanted to hear, but we specifically told our hotel we do not want our guests to wear mask at our wedding. With that being said, they have made an exception to grant our wishes since our wedding takes place outside. However on the property, inside and out, they do require masked so please make sure to bring some extra masks! So sorry for the inconvenience
