What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Answer
We encourage you to dress up with us! We ask that there be no shorts, jeans, tee shirts, or leggings. January in central Illinois tends to be cold and windy, so it's important to be mindful of the weather when thinking of attire.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event (outside of family) so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We would appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Where can I RSVP, and when is the deadline?
Answer
You can RSVP right here on our wedding website. We ask that all guests RSVP by November 4th, 2024, so we can inform our venues and caterers of how many guests to expect.

Is there a place to stay near the venue?
Answer
Yes, there are three hotels just down the road. It's important to note that you will be responsible for transportation to and from the hotel and venue. We suggest looking for Air BnB's or VRBO's if that's the route you prefer. You can either do properties in Danville or Covington, Indiana (about 15-20 minutes from the wedding venue)

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?
Answer
The ceremony will be at Second Church of Christ in Danville, Illinois. The reception will be at the 4H Building of the Vermillion County Fairgrounds in Cayuga, Indiana. The reception is roughly 20 minutes from the ceremony venue. You can find more details and addresses with directions under our "Schedule" tab.

What happens after the ceremony?
Answer
After the ceremony, the Bride and Groom will personally thank everyone individually for coming to celebrate, before sending them off. After the send-off, the Bride and Groom plus their families will finish with pictures. At this time, guests are welcome to make their way to the reception venue where food, games, and entertainment will be waiting.

What time should I arrive?
Answer
The ceremony will promptly begin at 1:30 pm Central time. We recommend arriving 30 to 45 minutes early so that everyone can get seated, and we can begin on-time.

Where should I park?
Answer
For the ceremony, you are welcome to park in any spot in the lot. For the reception, parking spaces are limited so we recommend carpooling with other guests if possible. Other than that, anywhere will do, but there will be someone directing parking at the reception venue.

Will there be food and drinks during "cocktail hour"?
Answer
There will be no alcohol at the reception, as it is prohibited on the property. There will, however, be light food and beverages available to hold you over until the meal.

Yes. Our event will be catered by Tacos Y Nieves. There will be tacos for everyone, along with chips and salsa. We will also have cupcakes for all guests after we eat.
