I’ve known Stephen for a long time like ten years ago — a long time. I met Stephen at this tiny church we were going to and I remember thinking he was so different from his brothers. I’ll say it, when I first met him, I thought he was a little weird. But you know what? So is my sister. I’ve loved watching them grow together and make each other better. The moment they found their way back to each other after all these years, I think we all knew they were meant to be. I’m so happy be a part of their new journey, their new life together. I can't wait to see them become weirder and maybe even make some weird little babies.

I met Micah a few Halloweens ago. She was dressed as Tinker Bell. We ended up off in some corner chatting it up and ignoring the world. Now I look forward to every chance I get to see her. I love our sleepovers, how we’ll always plan to watch a show or play a game, but we end up talking until we fall asleep on the couch. Micah makes me laugh, she makes me cry, and she certainly puts that psych major to work fixing me up when I’m blue. I can count on one hand how many friends I’ve had like that, and I’m so glad that she's one of them. I really love that girl so much and am so lucky to be a part of her life!

I actually met Steve first, shortly after I started dating my boyfriend Josh. He was funny, welcoming, and overall just a nice person to be around. So when I heard he was dating someone and I was about to meet a new girlfriend in the friend group, I was really excited. I just knew she’d also be a beautiful individual. And I was right. The moment I saw Micah, I thought to myself, “Thank God—finally another person of color!” But in all seriousness, in Micah I found a lifelong friend and a truly beautiful person, inside and out. Micah is such a thoughtful, giving, caring, and intentional person. That shows not only through her family values and relationships with friends, but also through the work she does with kids. Micah is such a lovely human to share this world with, and I can’t wait to see where love takes her and Steve. <3
