Scarr's Pizza
This is one of our favorite pizza spots in the city! Tucked away in the LES, Scarr's is a laid-back, tiny pizzeria that serves some of the best (biodynamic, natural) wine, the most tasty vegan (yes, vegan) Caesar Salad, and some (ful)filling grandma slices the City has to offer. Not to mention that the crowd is fashionably cool and the best (hip hop) music is always bumpin'!
The Metropolitan Museum of Art
The site of our second date! We love browsing the City's best art galleries and museums. The MET is a must-see if you're visiting the City for the first time or the hundredth time!
Bubby's
The site of our first date! A cute, cozy restaurant where we had our first date over candlelight!
Prospect Park
We love spending our weekends browsing the Farmers' Market at Prospect Park, lounging in the lawn, walking around, and riding bikes!
Zabar's
Our go-to spot for rugelach and the best ingredients for white fish, baked salmon bagel sandwiches!
The Four Horsemen
We celebrated Stephen's birthday here once! This is where we had one of the best wine tasting experiences in the City, outside of Paris, France, of course.
Cha Cha Matcha
Cha Cha Matcha is beyond just an Instagram sensation, it's all things cool and delicious. Marianne loves this spot and Stephen never complains when she wants to stop by on their strolls through SoHo/Little Italy.
Dover Street Market New York
Stephen's love of art and fashion collide here at Dover Street Market - New York. From Fashion Week events to a great soft-boiled egg at the cafe, Marianne and Stephen love browsing the beautiful designs at Dover Street.
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
Okay, so maybe this ice cream is a little overpriced, but it's delicious and brings a smile to Marianne's face whenever Stephen treats her to a cone (strawberry and pistachio) after a nice summer bike ride!
Vanessa's Dumpling House
We easily spend upwards of 4 - 5 hours a day on weekends just walking around the city (if the weather is nice!), so we always need a solid spot for a quick, cheap snack. Bring on Vanessa's Dumplings. Beloved by locals, frequented by tourists. This is the spot to grab four pork and chive dumplings for less than $2!
L Train Vintage
Marianne is a sucker for a great vintage find! Cue "No Relation Vintage" also known to City dwellers as "L Train Vintage".
Strand Book Store
One of Marianne’s true weaknesses is a great, independent bookstore and the Strand is the mothership! Stephen and Marianne visit often, browsing stacks upon stacks of books. Marianne rarely leaves without a purchase!
