FAQs

Question

When should we plan to arrive and leave?

Answer

We recommend arriving in Ravello by Sunday, May 24th so you have time to settle in before the welcome dinner on the 25th. The wedding ceremony is on the 26th, and we’ll have a few optional events starting on the 23rd for anyone coming early! Most guests plan to head home or to other destinations on May 27th the day after the wedding.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony and reception will both be outdoors.

Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

May is one of the loveliest times of year to visit Ravello. Expect warm days with plenty of sunshine, comfortable evenings, and average highs in the mid-70s. Rain is possible but not common; usually just a passing shower. We recommend packing light layers, a sun hat or sunglasses for daytime exploring, and a light jacket or wrap for cooler nights on the terrace.

Question

What's the nearest airport?

Answer

The closest airport to Ravello is Naples International Airport (NAP), about 1 hour away by car. This will be the most convenient option for the majority. If you’re combining Ravello with other destinations, you might also consider flying into Rome (FCO or CIA) or Milan (MXP or LIN), then taking a train to Naples and continuing on to the Amalfi Coast. From Naples, guests can reach Ravello by private transfer, rental car, or a combination of train/ferry and taxi, depending on your travel preference.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved room blocks at Villa Piedimonte, Hotel Garden, and Il Ducato Di Ravello, but there are a variety of great hotel options highlighted in the Accommodations section.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal. Pinterest board with examples pending : )

Question

Before or after the wedding, how do I get around?

Answer

Ravello is small and incredibly walkable, you’ll mostly be on foot (with a few stairs sprinkled in). If you want to see more of the Amalfi Coast, the easiest way is by car service or taxi since buses can be slow and unpredictable. Ferries run from Amalfi (just 15 minutes down the hill by car) and are a fun way to hop to Positano, Capri, or other towns by water. We don’t recommend renting a car unless you really love driving on winding, narrow roads with tricky parking.
