Stephen and I met way back in 2010 in church youth group. Some say it was love at first sight; Stephen just didn't know it yet. We remained friends and kept in touch throughout the years that passed. A little over 10 years later, in the fall of 2021, Stephen finally worked up the courage to ask me on a date. We made many great memories together including football games, music festivals, trying out new Nashville restaurants, cooking dinners and spending time with each other's families. A few years later, Stephen and I planned a trip to one of Stephen's favorite places, Glacier National Park. One morning we hiked up to Reynolds Mountain at sunrise, one of Stephen's favorite sunrise spots from his previous trips to the park. After carrying the ring around in his backpack for most of the week, he surprised me by asking me to be his wife on top of the mountain (very Stephen, if you know you know)! We are so excited to be getting married at the place where it all began 15 years earlier, Brentwood United Methodist Church, and celebrating with all of you at the Tennessee State Museum in downtown Nashville.
