Marissa & Alix have been best friends/soulmates since Kindergarten(!). Marissa is Alix's other half that she could never live without. They went through K-12 together which included 6am marching band drills, bus band trips across the U.S., dominating senior assassination & too many trips to TJMaxx to count. They share a love of crisp white wine, cheesy pasta, alpaca farms, shoes with bows on them & senior dogs.
Andrew Moore
Best Man & Brother of the Groom
Despite forsaking the family name in lieu of one that actually makes sense from a phonetic standpoint, and the different tracks the two have taken in life, Steve and Andrew are actually brothers. By way of example/Fun fact: Andrew has circumnavigated several countries on motorcycle and done a lot of other cool things, while Steve has pictures of Andrew doing those cool things in his bleak looking government office.
Jessica (Flaherty) Paghdal
Bridesmaid & Sister of the Bride
Jessie is one of Alix's older sisters. She is the reason why Alix developed such a love for sour candy & funfetti treats. She helped Alix dye her hair during her Avril Lavigne stage while talking her out of some facial piercings. She has visited Alix in Miami many times and together they have crushed Soul Cycle classes, Salsa danced on Calle Ocho & met the members of the Local Natives.
Luis Suarez

The story of how Steve and Luis met is boring. But what sealed the deal was their bond over bad zombie TV shows and even worse puns. Luis is so friendly and outgoing, it wouldn’t be surprising if he knew as many people at Steve and Alix’s wedding as they do. Fun fact: Luis once started a fire in Steve’s apartment.
Jaclyn (Flaherty) Teixeira
Bridesmaid & Sister of the Bride
Jackie is also Alix's older sister (Jessie's identical twin). She and Alix are music soulmates and have attended MANY concerts together over the years. They also share an obsession with flowers, especially peonies (which Jackie grows in her yard!) Out of all of their travels, both share Greece as their favorite place.
Kiyan Bigloo

Steve and Kiyan first met when they decided to move in together, after a single phone call. The two were practically inseparable for the next three years (except when Kiyan was in the library and Steve was definitely not). Fun fact: there have been months where every sentence spoken between the two was sarcastic.
Aimée Yost

Aimée & Alix met by falling in love with two brothers. Even though they only get to see eachother once or twice a year, they make the most of it by staying up late drinking Kim Crawford, baking bread, working on jigsaw puzzles & having deep life talks. They've always felt like sisters and soon it will be official!
Claude LeRose
Groomsman
Steve and Claude became fast friends during their (short-lived) training to try out for Notre Dame’s football team. The two have shared many memories (and lack thereof) throughout the years. Claude’s hard drives contain enough embarrassing pictures to end Steve’s political career a few times over. Fun fact: Claude is forced to buy custom-made pants to house his gigantic calves.
Laura Needham

Laura & Alix first met at a welcome event for new PA students. Within 30 seconds of meeting her, Alix told her other friends that "Laura was the one" and their friendship began. Together they survived PA school with the help of wine, cheddar cheese, bottomless brunches and support from therapy puppies.
Mike Gotsch
Groomsman & Ring Bear
Despite both being 35 years-old, Steve still refers to Mike by his college nickname, Bear (hibernation/hairiness/athletic body type). While Bear was perpetually late because he grew up in a house where time stands still, when he does eventually arrive, he’s the life of the party. Fun fact: Bear was the first activist that Steve met.
Benny Collins

Benny & Alix first met in 2011 when they were paired up as teaching assistants for the same summer camp classroom at the Museum of Science in Boston. They bonded over their nerdy love for science & a good IPA. They explored Boston together for years before Alix moved to Miami and Benny moved to Australia. Now they keep in touch through mimosa brunches and wine hours on FaceTime.
Jason Blilie
Groomsman
After a four-hour long final, Steve and Jason bonded over Call of Duty and Chinese food. Since then Jason has transitioned from affable slacker to budding tech titan and thankfully still allows Steve to hang with him. Fun fact: Jason maintains that he's a Dallas Cowboys fan, but a quick peruse through his Facebook profile pictures prove that he loves Eli Manning and the NY Giants.
Jess Parks

Jess & Alix met when they were 14 years old and both had emo skinny-jean wearing boyfriends. They wore too much eyeliner to Blink182 concerts, danced & gambled away many nights at Foxwoods & never missed a Sunday beach day.
Robert Dempster

Politics is not the turf to find friends, but there are exceptions to every rule. This country would be a decent place to live if more politicians were like Robert. Fun fact: every phone call with Robert starts with him saying “hey, real quick”. It’s never real quick.
