Amersfoort (a 25-minute drive) offers a variety of options, while Utrecht (45 minutes) and Amsterdam (50 minutes) have an even wider selection. These cities provide great alternatives if you prefer to stay in a larger town or have other plans before or after the wedding.

Castle Schaffelaar is conveniently located across from Barneveld Centrum train station, making it easy to reach by train. From Amsterdam, the journey takes about one hour and one transfer. Later in the evening, the trip takes approximately 1.5 hours, and the last train departs shortly after midnight. Other beautiful cities to stay and that have a pretty easy connection to the venue are Utrecht (40 minutes) and Amersfoort (20 minutes).
