Charlottesville airport (CHO) is 25 min from downtown, but other options would be Richmond (1 hr away) or DC (2 hrs away)
Short answer is probably yes. Charlottesville itself is pretty walkable and depending on where you stay, you could get away with not having one and using Uber/Lyft to get to and from the airport in town, but it’s easier with a car. We will have transportation provided to the wedding regardless.
We have hotel room blocks (see that page for details) and will be providing transportation to the wedding from set locations, but we’ve also had good experiences with Airbnb here!
See our list of things to do in Charlottesville and the surrounding area! We wish we could show you around ourselves but we hope you get a chance to see why we love it here!
Yes! We have a rain plan, of course, but are planning on enjoying the beautiful views if the weather allows.
The dress code is cocktail attire. The weather in Charlottesville in October varies, but it starts to get chilly in the evenings, so plan ahead with options to keep yourself comfortable!
Yes, please. Masks are required anytime you are not socially distanced in order to protect the other guests and our vendors. Disposable masks will be available at the welcome table if you do not have one.
We are providing transportation through Ambassador Limo that will leave the Omni Hotel at 4pm on Saturday. You don’t have to be a guest at Omni to use the shuttle, however there is not outside guest parking at the Omni. We recommend paying for parking at the Water or Market Street Garages or using a ride share service to get to the Omni. If you prefer to drive yourself: From Downtown Cville or Pantops, take 20N until you hit VA-33 and take a left. Take an immediate right onto VA-20N and take it until you get to Weyburn Rd.. Take a right on Weyburn and this will take you to VA-231. Take a right on VA-231 and then in ¼ mile take a left onto Jacksontown Rd. (Rt. 655). There is a large dairy farm on the corner (look for dairy cows!). Take Jacksontown Rd. for approx 1.9 miles and you will find The Market at Grelen on the Right. There is a large sign. Note: if you miss Weyburn, you can take a right at the Somerset Store which is 231, then take a left onto Jacksontown (Rt. 655).
