No! As similar to Mexico please opt for bottled water when possible, they have bottles of water everywhere, including restocks of bottled water in your rooms as well. They do give you glasses of water at the restaurants which are usually filtered water (ok to drink) and we had no issues but you can most definitely ask your waiter/waitress for bottled water. Your room will come with bottled water in the bathroom for brushing teeth, drinking, etc. We did not experience any sickness when we went and we completely avoided drinking any tap water/ brushed our teeth with bottled water.
Yes! Dreams Macao Beach is a gated resort with lots of security, safety is not something to worry about on the resort!
Yes! We ate pretty much everything when we went and had no stomach issues. Though, if you have a sensitive stomach, stick to things that you know your body can handle as there are plenty of food options! Punta Cana isn't Italy where they are known for their food, the food is delicious but different countries cook things in different ways. Therefore, eating what you know you do well with is your best option! Bring imodium or other stomach meds just in case!
US dollars are 100% acceptable and even though this is an all-inclusive with gratuities included, recommend bringing singles for some tipping when service is exceptional as the staff appreciates all tips greatly! If you are a preferred club guest, we do recommend you tip your butler at the end of your stay given that they provide amazing service!
Every single room comes with a safe that you can set your own passcode to when you arrive. We always kept our wallets, passports, rings, and any other expensive items in there.
Yes! I have never seen staff work so hard, they are always cleaning around the resort and making sure us guests have a top notch experience. When we went we did bring plenty of hand sanitizer and used that instead of their sink water to wash our hands.
They do not require reservations but we highly recommend you do make reservations each night to avoid waiting. If you are not Preferred Club guests you can stop in during the day at whichever restaurant you would like to eat at that night and make a reservation. Preferred Club guests, if you do not want to make reservations yourself, you can text your Butler via whatsapp and they will make your dinner reservations for you.
We recommend you bring the following: A copy of your passport LOTS of sunscreen to reapply regularly Hat Chapstick with SPF Hand Sanitizer Bag for Pool/Beach Insulated cup to keep drinks cold Medicine/Toiletries Cash for tips (Gratuities are included so only do so when you feel necessary or deserved)
Nope! Their outlets work with your normal plugs
Yes! There are such things as ATV / Buggy tours, The Scape Park (diving in caves, ziplining, and riding through a jungle), Boat Trip to Saona Island, etc. You can speak with the Main Lobby front desk about how to book an excursion.
Nope! They provide clean towels at the pool / beach daily. They do tend to run out fast but are always bringing more, try to snag some towels in the morning. They can be hard to locate, any staff member can point you to where they are. Usually are located in bins by the pools
Yes! We actually highly recommend you bring an insulated cup for them to make your drinks in so that you can keep your drinks cold by the pool / beach. We also recommend that you bring some kind of bag to carry your items to the pool and beach. I carried my small cross body fanny pack with me pretty much every where to keep track of my room key, phone, hand sanitizer etc.
There is a taco food truck daily, located by the waterpark if you would like something different for lunch or a quick snack. CoCo Cafe is open daily, with DELICIOUS coffee, pastries, smoothies and ice cream! The buffet area is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with PLENTY of food options. There is also pool side food/drink service at the Preferred Club pools and there is the snack shack area as well by the other pools that has lots of quick serve yourself finger foods daily!
Yes, there is a shop with toiletries, sunscreen, etc. Though, like any resort, their items are pricey. So please pack plenty of your own sunscreen, ibuprofen, imodium, etc. to avoid spending extra $!
