We're getting MARRIED!

They met on the dating app called Hinge that Stephanie "swore" she would never download. After they matched, Stephanie made the first move to message Brendan when she saw his last name was the same as the coolest teacher at her Middle School. She figured it was maybe his Uncle? Nope! That cool teacher at her Middle School was his dad so she knew Brendan had to be cool too?! They began messaging/texting until Brendan asked her on their first date on April 25, 2021. For their first date, they met at Game Craft, and in true Brendan fashion he was late. After sitting and talking over drinks, they realized Game Craft was a complete bust but neither of them wanted to go home. They continued their first night together at Kinsmen Brewery where they chatted some more and shared some delicious pizza. They went on many more dates after that from bowling (where their first kiss happened), to dates at his shop, etc. From then on they talked every single day but the hanging out got a litttleee more sparse as Brendan became extremely busy with work. Stephanie knew they had something special in the works and did not want to let it dwindle. So, around the 4th of July, after she had a few drinks (lol), she boldly made a joke about them not hanging out in a few weeks. When they both returned from their weekend trips and Brendan moved into his new house in Stephanie's hometown (how convenient), Brendan asked Stephanie to hang out one day, and then the next day and the next. They have been inseparable since! At this point, six months into them "talking", Brendan still hadn't asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend. Until September 28, 2021, when they stayed up all night talking and he asked her to be his girlfriend. Fun fact: Stephanie was so tired from staying up late/excited that he asked her to be his girlfriend that she took a sick day from work the next day (LOL). Their story continued when in December Brendan asked Stephanie to officially move in with him. A few months later, in March, they adopted their beloved pup Willie, who is named after the street of their first house together. Fast forward to January 1, 2023 when Brendan asked Stephanie the question she had been hoping for since their first date, he asked her to marry him! And on June 29, 2024, they will officially become Mr. & Mrs. Wachtelhausen!
