Travel Note
There are multiple travel options to get from NYC to Florence, Italy! From NYC you can either fly into Rome, Milan, or another city, and then take either a connecting flight or the train to Florence. Option 1: (Flight) NYC -> Milan (Malpensa airport) [8 hours] THEN -> (Train) Florence central train station (Santa Maria Novella) [2 hours] Option 2: (Flight 1) NYC -> Rome (Rome Fiumicino airport) [8 hours] THEN -> (Flight 2) Rome Fiumicino airport -> Florence regional airport (FLO) [0.5 hours] OR -> (Train) Rome central train station (Termini) -> Florence central train station (Santa Maria Novella) [1.5 hours] Option 3: (Flight 1) NYC -> Connecting City (such Amsterdam or Paris) THEN -> (Flight 2) Florence regional airport (FLO) [~ 11 hours total] We recommend using skyscanner to look for good flight deals, typically about 6 months out! https://www.skyscanner.com/ * if you are taking a train to Florence from Rome or Milan, you'll need to use the airtrains or taxis to get from the airport to the train station
