Question

Getting to the Brazilian Room

Answer

The Brazilian Room is nestled up in the hills of Tilden Regional Park and the roads leading up to Tilden are incredibly steep! If you are planning to drive, we highly recommend you get to the Brazilian Room via a road that passes by the Lawrence Hall of Science (on Centennial Drive). To do this, we recommend you first enter the Lawrence Hall of Science as your destination, and then once you are at Lawrence Hall, re-enter the Brazilian Room as your next destination. (We also recommend you add some extra time to stop at Lawrence Hall, admire the view of the city and take some photos before heading to the Brazilian Room.)

Question

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is a small parking lot in front of the venue, and a bit more parking just north of the venue along the street. If you are comfortable with a short walk, please consider saving the closest parking spots for our guests with limited mobility. Please also consider carpooling to cut down on the number of cars overall.

Question

Is ride-sharing (i.e., Uber, Lyft) an option?

Answer

Yes, however we would recommend booking your ride home ahead of time, if possible. The venue does not have good cell phone reception, and it can be difficult to find a ride share option later in the evening. There will be Wi-Fi (see next question), but please consider booking a ride home ahead of time, and also carpooling home with others.

Question

Will the venue have Wi-Fi?

Answer

Yes. If you are not getting great cell phone reception, please ask a staff or catering member to provide you with the wifi network and password.
