As many of you already know, there is no shortage of beautiful outdoor places to visit in Humboldt. We've included a couple of nearby places that you might want to check out if you have some time to kill. The bluff is also beautiful and full of winding trails that you are welcome to explore after dinner or on Sunday after breakfast.

Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge

Ferndale is a charming victorian village with beautiful nearby trails.

This is probably our favorite place in Arcata and we have taken many walks here as a family. There are nice, easy walking trails and lots of great bird watching.
