FAQs

We compiled answers to a few questions we thought may come up. If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever makes you comfortable! We encourage dressing up, but how you interpret that is up to you! Have fun and be yourself. It can get windy, foggy and chilly on the coastal bluff, so please bring layers. We will also be on the grass, so you probably want to wear practical shoes.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have some recommendations in the "Travel" section of this site. We are planning to camp on the bluff on Saturday night and you are welcome to join us, if that is something you are into. There is a field surrounded by trees where we you can pitch a tent after the ceremony. It is a short, but slightly steep and uneven walk from the ceremony location.

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

Sorry, but no. :(

Question

Can I bring my child?

Answer

No. Just kidding! Ziggy would love some more kids to play with, so please bring 'em! We plan to have a kids area with some fun stuff to keep them from getting bored. If you would rather have the break from the kids, we totally understand. Get a sitter and come party!

Question

What about COVID? Is this going to be, like, a superspreader event?

Answer

Let's try to make it not be! As you all know, COVID is still very much around and we trust everyone will take precautions including getting vaccinated/ boosted, testing, washing hands frequently and staying home if you feel sick. We will be outdoors, where spread is much less likely and will not be requiring masks. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, then please do! If you feel more comfortable staying home, we totally understand.

Question

I saw something about a potluck. Do I need to bring anything?

Answer

We are doing a potluck-style dinner and will be asking some of our local friends and family to help us by providing a dish. If you would like to bring something, please reach out! If you're coming in from out of town, you don't need to bring anything!

Question

What exactly is the camping situation and what should I bring?

Answer

Camping is available for free on the same location as the ceremony and reception. The camping area is a very short, but slightly steep and uneven walk from the reception. It is not actually an established campground and there is not running water or electricity. Bathrooms and drinking water will be available. You will need to provide all your own camping equipment. The best time to set up will probably be at 4 p.m. before the ceremony, or right after the ceremony before dinner. Sunset will be at about 7:30 p.m.
