For a couple of years, Will and Leslie Grimes kept telling their cousin, Matt, he had to meet their friend, Stephanie, and visaversa. However, Matt was residing in Houston at the time, while Stephanie was living in Dallas. Eventually, in May of 2017, Matt was coming to Fort Worth for a Flatland Cavalry concert and reached out to Will. Instantly, Will took advantage of the opportunity to pull his match-making strings by inviting Stephanie to come along with him and some friends to meet Matt at the country music dancehall, Billy Bobs. It just so happened to be Stephanie’s birthday, so Matt asked her to two-step, and they gleefully danced the night away. Unfortunally, Matt had to go back to Houston, and Stephanie to Dallas, so it was not for another two years that their paths crossed again. In 2019, Matt finally made the decision to move to Dallas! Then, one glorious day in May, after an exciting weekend spent at the Byron Nelson golf tournament, Matt and Stephanie found themselves at dinner with friends, sitting across from one another once again. That evening, after recconecting, Matt made the move and offically asked Stephanie to go on a date with him. The first date took place at Hattie’s in Bishop Arts District, and after hours of laughter and merry conversation, both Stephanie and Matt knew they had found someone special! God’s timing was perfect, as it always is, and we are so thankful for the friends and family He has placed in our lives. You all have walked alongside us over the mountains and through the valleys of life, and in-turn helped to mold us into the people we are today. We are excited to celebrate with all of you, and our hope is that the Lord will be glorified through the entire wedding process, and ultimately through our marriage.
